Outreach - Acting
Arts Educational Schools BA (Hons) Acting for Film and Television is offering outreach packages to promote the exciting new direction the school is taking. This new direction is based on what the industry has fed back to us and the ways we best feel we can train our students to get work and be artists in the modern world.
To do this, our training has become equally split between stage acting and acting for the screen. Training for film and television is now 50% of our course work, representing a true balance of the world of work. Whilst we still give the actor a solid foundation in theatre acting, studying Stanislavsky and Miesner, working on Chekhov and Shakespeare as well as the modern classics of Miller, Pinter and Shepard, we continue to develop solid foundations in acting’s technical skills, whilst equipping the actor with the insight and techniques needed to survive in the modern media.
The overall purpose of the course is a balance between the technical demands that face the modern actor and the artistry needed to weave all the demands together into holistic training so that each student’s talent is cultivated to the full.
Our desire is to offer an informative and interesting visit that will promote our school and hopefully give your students an experience that will help them make decisions for their future.
