Booking Weekend Classes Summer Term 2012

The Summer Term runs from 21 April until 7 July, inclusive.
Half-Term:  Saturday 26 May and 2 June.

Online Booking has been temporarily suspended this term but you can enrol at the School on Saturdays.  Our receptionists will assist you with the paperwork and will direct you to the studios.  The Summer Term’s timetable is downloadable here:
Please note cheques are no longer accepted as a payment method for the Weekend Classes.

New Pupils
Once you have booked online you will need to fill in an up-to-date registration form to complete the registration process.  Please ensure that you include the names of both the parent and the pupil, and pupil date of birth. The Summer Term registration form is downloadable here.

Existing Pupils
After booking your place online please fill in your Booking Reference Number on your Personalized Registration Form (which will be sent to you over Christmas holiday) and hand it in to one of our receptionists on the first day of term.

Fees
All fees are payable on or before the first day of term.

Trial Classes: Trial classes can be taken in the first four weeks of term only and cost one-tenth of the full term’s fees.

Please note trial classes are not deductible from the full course fee.

Musical Theatre (Acting/Dance/Singing) 3 Hours
Ages 14-18 yrs. Drawing on all the strengths of our well-established Musical Theatre tradition, ArtsEd’s Musical Theatre Weekend Class is unrivalled when it comes to providing the highest calibre instruction from expert and experienced staff. The three-hour class is split into three disciplines, acting, dance and singing, to give participants a full understanding of what it takes to cut it in the West End. For 8+ yrs you have the choice of a morning or afternoon course.

West End Jazz
WEST END JAZZ This course will no longer be running next term.
Street Jazz / Hip Hop
Ages 8-18 yrs. Street Jazz/Hip Hop is a fun and energetic one-hour class that teaches the fundamentals of modern urban dance. Learn the dances from the latest pop videos.
Juniors 8-10 yrs - 11:00-12:00 £80

Acting for TV
ArtsEd’s School of Acting now specializes in Acting for TV and Film and our exciting new Weekend Class gives budding young actors the chance to learn these techniques for themselves. Our students will learn the skills required to act in front of a camera, devise scripts, operate a camera and learn all about shots and roles on set. Using games, improvisations and workshops this will be a fun, creative and challenging new class.
Intermediate 10-13yrs - 13:15-15:15 £135

Drama
Ages 7-10 yrs. Acting is a great way to build confidence. Pupils work independently and in teams, discovering a range of performance techniques, as well as learning improvisation and audition skills. This class helps pupils improve reading abilities and widens their vocabulary. Voice coaching is given. Designed by professional staff to achieve unbeatable standards!

Flamenco
Ages 6+. This traditional and passionate Spanish dance has seen a surge in popularity of late, and it’s easy to see why. Flamboyant and expressive, we invite all ages from 6+ to try their hand at our Flamenco classes.

Ballet
Ballet Select (Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus) Pupils are required to audition for a place on this course. The audition takes the form of an assessment in the first class. At the end of the lesson the teacher will advise parents or, in the case of older pupils, the pupils themselves, whether they have successfully passed the audition and can continue with classes. High calibre instruction from expert and experienced staff. There is a pianist to play for classes, which we think is essential for syllabus work, and gives the pupils first-hand experience of working with musicians and a sense of musicality.
