Courses and Timetable
Founded in 1986, when Arts Educational Schools London relocated to its present premises in Chiswick, the number of pupils attending Saturday Classes was less than 20. Over the years this has increased substantially, and now approximately 55 performing arts classes are timetabled on a Saturday, attended by some 500 pupils. Classes are offered for all ages ranging from 3–18 yrs, and adults.
Although by definition a part-time institution, the Saturday Classes can have a long-term impact - some of our pupils who started at the school aged 3 have stayed with us until 18. Strong links are maintained with the full-time school and when pupils express a wish to move into full-time vocational education, our teachers are only too pleased to coach them in audition and interview technique.
The Saturday Classes, above all, are there to be enjoyed, and if you are seeking part-time vocational training we very much welcome you to our department.

| Ages 5-18 Acting is a great way to build confidence. Pupils work independently and in teams, discovering a range of performance techniques, as well as learning improvisation and audition skills. | Ballet | ||
| Grade 1-8, Majors and Pointe Work (RAD) For pupils and parents looking for formal dance qualifications the Royal Academy of Dance exams, attainable on our Ballet courses, will suit you. Our teachers are Royal Ballet or Royal Academy of Dance trained and we also have RAD examiners on our staff. With this wealth of experience and expertise pupils can only flourish. Examinations start with the Pre-Primary Assessment (for ages 4-5), and pupils continue with Grades 1 - 8 through to Major examinations in Intermediate and Advanced. There are pianists to play for the majority of classes, which we think are essential for syllabus work, and gives the pupils first-hand experience of working with musicians and a sense of musicality. | ||

| Primary – Advanced (ISTD) Say the word “Tap” to anyone, and it normally conjures up lively, rhythmic dance bringing a smile to the face! Why not have an even broader smile and enjoy passing exams in these classes, too? Our teachers are qualified to enter pupils in the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing exams. They will put you through your paces and polish your performance. Grades 1 to Majors in Intermediate and Advanced taught. | ||

| Modern Stage | ||
| Grades 1 -6 & Intermediate (ISTD) If you have not been introduced to Modern Stage, this style of dance is similar to Jazz (described in this section) and benefits from structured exam-syllabus based classes. From aged 6 pupils work towards the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing examinations, starting with Grade 1, moving up to Grade 6 and beyond to the Major examinations in Intermediate and Advanced. As can be expected, our excellent teachers will train you to a high standard. | ||
