'Once upon a time...' (age 4-6) (30th July - 3rd August)
(10am – 1pm) Children discover storytelling through a series of games and activities focused on devising and creating their own versions of children’s tales. Each day focuses on a different story, building confidence and exploring their own creativity. On the final day, family and friends are invited to witness a performance of these stories given by the children themselves. course tutor Rebecca Coward
Create a musical in a week (age 7-12) (30th July - 3rd August)
(9:30am - 4:30pm) Working with a Musical Director and Choreographer you will explore popular songs from a selection of West End musicals, before working with your group to devise your own mini-musical which will be presented at the end of the week. course tutors TBC
Create A Play In A Week (age 7-12) (6th - 10th August)
(9:30am - 4:30pm) A buzzing week of drama, improvisation and games that develops basic performing and confidence skills using fun and imaginative play. The ‘play in a week’ course is a chance during the holidays for young people aged 7–11 years to use their imaginations and create a whole play with the help of a professional director. A public performance is given at the end of the week. course tutor Rebecca Coward
Youth Actor's School (age 12-16) (30th July - 3rd August)
(10am - 5pm) This course offers an excellent opportunity for any young actors to expand their horizons as part of this fun-filled week, incorporating acting to camera, improvisation and characterisation, as well as giving fresh perspective into modern and classical performance. Participants will then present their achievements as part of a performance given at the end of the week for family & friends to watch. course tutors TBC
Youth Musical Theatre School (age 12-16) (23th - 27th July)
(10am - 5pm) This course is separated equally between training and performance, giving young performers a true impression of what it would be like to become a professional musical theatre performer. Participants will train in the separate disciplines of acting, singing and dance, and then combine these skills within their rehearsals and finally performance of a musical theatre medley, performed at the end of the week. course tutors TBC
Musical Theatre Company (age 10-16) (30th July - 10th August)
(9:30am - 4:30pm) This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a company – an ensemble of performers who will work together for two weeks to stage a performance. The emphasis of the course is on a friendly, fun action packed activity and while the classes will be lead by professionals in their field we recognise that this is holiday time, so the atmosphere will be relaxed and light. The project is overseen by a Musical Director and a Choreographer, and culminates in a performance of their musical production at the end of 2 weeks. course tutors TBC
