Weekend Classes Admissions

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Auditions
With the exception of Ballet, pupils are not auditioned for places.  The Ballet audition takes the form of an informal assessment in the first class.  At the end of the lesson the teacher will advise parents or, in the case of older pupils, the pupils themselves, whether they have successfully passed the audition and can continue with classes.  For all other courses, pupils will be placed in classes according to their levels of abilities or age group.

Trial classes are available and you can find details of trial classes in the section headed “Booking Weekend Classes”.

Examinations
Pupils attending Ballet and Flamenco may take The Royal Academy of Dance Ballet examinations and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing examinations, respectively.  An exam entrance fee and fees for exam coaching will be charged as extra.

Certificates
RAD and ISTD certificates are given to successful exam candidates.  The Arts Educational Schools’ certificates will be awarded to Musical Theatre and Acting pupils on satisfactory completion of their courses.

All pupils are required to wear Weekend Classes T-shirts, which can be purchased from the uniform shop in the foyer from 9.30-14.00 on Saturdays only, price £10 each.
