Ballet Junior Summer School Ages 7–16 years (one week)
28 Jul – 2 Aug
An exciting new combination course giving students a varied and professional West End experience in Classical Ballet (non syllabus) body conditioning/limbering and Pilates and pointe work where relevant. Ballet repertoire for the two older groups will include work on well known ballets. 7–8 year-olds will study and perform Little Red Riding Hood or Alice in Wonderland in workshop. The week will also include cast numbers from West End shows culminating in demonstrations and a performance Grand Finale in the Theatre. Course Fee: £230

Infants Ballet Summer School Ages 4–6 years (one week, 10am – 1pm)
28 Jul – 2 Aug
The eventful week is packed with ballet workshops, singing classes, dancing – modern and jazz and some light drama. The course ends with an informal showing for parents. Course Fee: £175

Shadow Puppets Ages 8–12 years (one week)
28 Jul – 1 Aug
A lively and fun course engaging children’s imaginative and creative skills. You will acquire a variety of skills that can be used to make a piece of shadow theatre. There will be opportunities to create your own shadow puppets and work with different light sources and techniques to create your own piece of shadow theatre. Devised pieces will be performed to an invited audience at the end of the week, and you will be presented with a DVD of the show. Course Fee: £200

Musical Theatre Summer School Ages 16 – 21 years (One week) FULL
7 – 11 Jul & 14 – 18 Jul FULL
Come and experience what it feels like to be on a professional Musical Theatre training course. During this week you will take part in Acting, Singing and Dancing classes with performance rehearsals leading up to a presentation at the end of the week. All your classes will be lead by tutors currently working on the BA Musical Theatre courses at Arts Educational Schools London. Course Fee: £270

West End Week (One week)
21 – 25 Jul
This sought after course focuses on Song & Dance, learning repertoire from current West End Shows, such as WICKED, HAIRSPRAY, GREASE, CHICAGO and WE WILL ROCK YOU. Learn new skills and routines with cast members from the West End shows. This fantastic week with all your favourite shows will book up quick so don’t leave it too late to sign up. Classes may be streamed according to level of abilities. Course Fee: £320

Ballroom Dancing for Beginners (One week)
21 – 25 Jul
You’ve seen the show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, now you too can learn Ballroom & Latin American from the experts. Come on your own or with a partner and learn to be confident with dances such as the Waltz, Quickstep and the Cha Cha. Ideal for couples planning a wedding and their ‘First Dance’ or simply for those wishing to try something new. Course Fee: £320

New Wave American Masterclasses (One week)
21 – 25 Jul
This innovative new course will give you an opportunity to increase your repertoire learning to Act Through Song with a Director and Musical Director. You will stage numbers from a The Wild Party, Parade, Songs For A New World, Titanic and Spring Awakening. Course Fee: £320

Stage Combat – BADC (one week – Mon-Sat)
Mon 21 – 26 Jul; 10am – 4pm
Working intensively with a qualified, professional fight teacher, you will learn armed (rapier and dagger) and unarmed stage combat techniques, apply a fight sequence safely to a rehearsed scene and concludes with an examination with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat. All weapons are provided and the cost of the exam is included. An exhilarating course suitable for those new to Stage Combat who enjoy physical exercise and want to explore a new skill and for those who wish to take or renew their BADC qualification! Course Fee: £275 all levels

Audition Technique – Musical Theatre or Acting (One week) 21 – 25 Jul
Are you looking to audition for drama school or wish to gain confidence when attending castings? Then this course is the one for you. You will get a chance to work on acting and singing audition pieces, choice of material, casting, sight reading and personal presentation. For the Musical Theatre audition classes you will also take part in dance workshops to build confidence in dance auditions. Course Fee: £300

Introduction to Acting (Three weeks)
21 July – 8 Aug
This three–week foundation course is for those who want a more in–depth introduction to the various techniques of acting, voice and movement training, which are part of the programme in professional drama schools. Students will work on various acting processes and explore a variety of ways of approaching text, character–creation, rehearsal and performance. Course Fee: £650

Comedy Workshop (Two weeks)
21 July – 2 Aug
This course explore different approaches to physical and text-based comedy. It introduces basic physical clowning, improvisation techniques and stand-up comedy and deals with timing and rhythm in traditional and contemporary plays. Course Fee: £500

Shakespeare & His Contemporaries (Three weeks)
21 July – 8 Aug
This three–week course is intended to help students cope with the demands of contemporary and traditional views of Shakespeare/ Jacobean drama. Students will be introduced to techniques and skills required to deliver verse effectively as well as understanding the processes required to make an emotional and psychological sense of demanding text. In addition to scenes, students will work on solo speeches. Course Fee: £600

Approaches to Carnival & Street Theatre (Three weeks)
21 July – 8 Aug
This challenging course will involve students in exploring ways of creating exciting, visual, physical theatre which can reach audiences in the open air. The process will conclude with the creation of a short street theatre project which will be formed in several West London locations. Course Fee: £600

Table Magic 28 Jul – 1 Aug (Mon – Fri)
In this fascinating course you will master exciting techniques of table magic. Gaining the authority to present magic at close quarters is a vital part of the training, and you will develop valuable presentational skills that define the truly professional magician. Eager? – Excellent. Daunted?– Don't be! In the television programme Faking It Patrick Page took a non–magician and trained him to an amazing level, fooling the experts into believing that he was a professional.

Radio Drama (one week)
4 – 8 Aug
This intensive practical one week course is for those who already have some experience in acting and wish to broaden their skills for radio. Students will have the opportunity to develop existing skills and learn how to adapt them to the radio studio. The programme will also cover audition techniques, sight–reading, what to expect in a studio, and the opportunity to participate and record a 30 minute radio play. Course Fee: £300

Sondheim Masterclasses (one week)
4 – 8 Aug
Learn to Act through Song in this week of Sondheim Masterclasses. Staging numbers from a SIDE BY SIDE SONDHEIM project you will be able to try new skills while building up your song repertoire. Course Fee: £320

Fosse Week (one week)
4 – 8 Aug
Explore the dances of the master of musical theatre choreography. Working on excerpts from Chicago, Sweet Charity, Pippin, Fosse, Pajama Game etc you will learn new skills and build on your repertoire of dances. Suitable for those with some dancing experience already this course will challenge even the most confident contemporary dancers. Course Fee: £320

Acting for Film & Television (one week)
4 &ndash 8 Aug
This intensive practical one–week course is for those who already have some experience in acting and wish to broaden their skills on camera. Students will have the opportunity to develop existing skills and learn how to adapt them to film and television. The programme will also cover audition techniques, sight-reading, what to expect on set, and the opportunity to film short scenes. Course Fee: £320
